Details:
This class will be an introduction to Junior Olympic Archery and is open to all levels of archers. The class will focus on the National Training System form of shooting. Students will work with stretch bands and participate in the safety orientation class prior to shooting. Over the course of the class the students will shoot a qualification round, experience field archery, and shoot a variety of novelty targets. All archery equipment will be provided; students may bring their own equipment with prior approval from the instructor. JOAD Experience pins will be awarded in the class.


To be eligible to participate all students must be a member of USA Archery.

CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUND WITHIN 4 BUSINESS DAYS OF START DATE. $12 ADMINISTRATION FEE FOR CANCELLATION.
Following the guidelines of USA Archery, kids will:
Train for line tournaments and competitions
Train to shoot 3D Archery
Train for Field Archery (using the NFAA walking courses)
As a sanctioned JOAD club, kids will:
Have the chance to qualify for Olympic pins using the JOAD pin system
Have the opportunity to compete in state and national tournaments
Be introduced to and taught thoroughly how to score arrows
Learn how to tune bows and index arrows
And most importantly: proper shooting technique
